An outlet for a good amount of much needed skepticism of conventional patent medicine, yet plagued by the recent "'opioid' epidemic"hysteria campaign that pushes the very polices creating and worsening the problem. They censored me when I attempted leaving comments questioning that stance. This blog Freedom of Medicine and Diet strongly opposes the "war on drugs." Not only for its shifting drug markets towards infinitely more dangerous concentrated and uncertain potency drug forms. Not only for its denying adults the right to purchase potentially dangerous substances OTC (over the counter) - even with reasonable restrictions to protect the ill informed (labeling) and children. U.S. Attorney General and once Covington & Burling pharmaceutical industry attorney Eric Holder announces a change in U.S. Justice Department prosecutorial procedure to omit the amount of contraband from charging documents, though not from the actual sentencing- admitting that the US spends some $80 billion annually for incarceration. But if he were truly serious, there's so much more that he and the Obama Administration could do.
