Epileptic Seizures, Autism, Dementia/Alzheimer’s, Cannabis … And Coca Leaf Tea?

republished from: https://panaceachronicles.com/2017/05/31/epileptic-seizures-autism-dementiaalzheimers-cannabis-and-coca-leaf-tea/ Epileptic Seizures, Autism, Dementia/Alzheimer’s, Cannabis … And Coca Leaf Tea? First, A Short Summary: Researchers are “just discovering” that Cannabis can control Epileptic seizures ( Most recent New England Journal of Medicine ) Researchers have not yet looked at Cannabis for use in Dementia/Alzheimer’s, even though seizures are common and are a leading cause of death in Dementia/Alzheimer’s. Maybe that’s because while Congress has committed some $5.4 billion this fiscal year to cancer research, about $1.2 billion to heart disease and $3 billion to research on HIV/AIDS, research funding for Alzheimer’s is “only” $566 million. Clearly that’s just not enough for researchers (mostly Big Pharma employees) to look into Cannabis as a treatment. On a related note, California researchers have just shown that a sleeping sickness drug developed in 1916 can rever...

Defeating The Drug War Requires Better Understanding It

prerequisite reading: http://freedomofmedicineanddiet.blogspot.com/2016/02/points-about-progressive-era-war-of.html   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvey_Washington_Wiley Contrary to what is commonly regurgitated, the drug war did not start with Richard Nixon . Rather, it was the phrase "war on drugs", that came with the re-codification of drug prohibition that occurred under Nixon with the enactment of the 1970 U.S. Controlled Substances Act . This re-codification was necessary following the 1969 Leary case that had the Supreme Court officially find the statutory basis of US drug prohibition since the 1914 - the power to tax - unconstitutional as violating an individual's right against self incrimination. The 1970 CSA would instead base itself upon the power to regulate interstate commerce. The U.S. drug war dates back to the prohibitions established via the 1937 “Marijuana” Tax Act and the 1914 Harrison "Narcotics" Tax Act regarding “opium or coca leaves, t...

45th U.S. President To Radically Change Drug Policies?

Image
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/01/20/full-text-president-donald-trumps-inauguration-speech.html But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists: Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities; rusted-out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation; an education system, flush with cash, but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of knowledge; and the crime and gangs and drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential. This American carnage stops right here and stops right now. To end the carnage- end the drug war. Not merely the asinine war on Cannabis that denies a useful medicine and alternative to alcohol. Not merely the asinine war on Opium and Coca leaves that not only denies useful medicines and alternatives to alcohol, nicotine and caffeine, but perverts these useful substances into infinitely more potentially dangerous ultra-concentrated drug forms. But a...

Caffeine Pills & Nicotine Gum In The Reach Of Children At CVS!

Image
This blog Freedom of Medicine and Diet strongly opposes the "war on drugs." Not only for its shifting drug markets towards infinitely more dangerous concentrated and uncertain potency drug forms. Not only for its denying adults the right to purchase potentially dangerous substances OTC (over the counter) - even with reasonable restrictions to protect the ill informed (labeling) and children. But as well for its utter hypocrisy. Not in simply allowing near un-fetted sales of alcoholic beverages and Tobacco products WITHOUT the labeling of the ingredients - the sole two class of consumable products exempted from retail ingredient labeling requirements within the U.S.A. - while adhering to a maniacal hysteria over opiates. But in an apparent lack of regulations to moderately restrict access of potentially toxic forms of legal drugs. We have had the allowed internet sales of caffeine powder without adequate warnings of its potential toxicity- a situation that had led to a few de...

End Opioid Prohibition

The media hysterics against opioids, such as The New York Times, ought to be ashamed of themselves! http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/commentisfree/2016/jun/08/opioid-epidemic-drug-mix-overdose-death Bob Bee- It's prohibition that serves to ensure opioids are more dangerous than they otherwise would be, due to uncertainty of purity and dosage of unregulated, black market drugs. Thus prohibition makes fatal OD's more likely, not less. Opioids should be legalized, regulated, and taxed like tobacco and alcohol. That way, users would know exactly what they were buying and the dosage. Also, opioid legalization would mean good, old, natural opium would be legally available. Users could opt for opium (active ingredients include morphine & codeine. It can be eaten, smoked, or consumed as a tea) as a safer alternative to ultra-potent pharma-junk powders & pills. Opium's safer as it's less concentrated and is harder to fatally OD on. End the counter-productive,...

Nadelmann IGNORES Economic Reasons- Focusing Exclusively Upon Racism

The AMA and The New England Journal of Medicine Owe The World an Apology

Image
The New England Medical Journal and organizations as the American Medical Association propagandize for the perversion of a profession that has largely relied upon illegal and immoral tactics to confuse the public about herbal based medicine, particularly confusing dilute and ultra concentrated forms of cocaine use, while shilling for tobacco cigarettes.  This has resulted in a market distortion that killed over 100 million people during the last century with the suppression of Coca, which the USDA recognized as a market threat to Tobacco, while harming health with petrochemical patent medicines known today as pharmaceuticals to say nothing about the harms of drug prohibition and the miseries caused by its enforcement.  It epitomizes a bloated profession that has bilked the public out of billions of dollars that should be sued for medical fraud and human rights violations. From The New England Journal of Medicine review of the book Quack, Quack, Quack: The Sellers of Nostru...

Dick Nixon on Vodka-Cigarette Protectionist Russia

Image
Richard Nixon- a traitor to the U.S. Constitution who signed that un-contitutional, immoral set of junk statutes known as the Controlled substances act of 1970 https://www.facebook.com/notes/10154626889905463/  Do you think the Russians allow dope?  Hell no. Not if they can allow, not if they can catch it, they send them up.  You see, homosexuality, dope, immorality in general: 'Dope' a self descriptive term for supporters of the alcohol-Virginia Bright Leaf Tobacco cigarette protectionist- all substances infinitely more toxic then Cannabis, Coca leaves or Opium. Nixon represents a false 'Protestant Christianity' that actually bows to satan and the satanic 3rd piller of Rome. If any substance is worthy of the name 'dope', it's  Rusia's choice of Vodka which too many Russians drink themelves into a stupor daily. http://continuingcounterreformation.blogspot.com/2014/09/western-eastern-roman-empire-101.html http://continuingcounterreformation.blogspot.com/2...

More About the Drug Policy Covington & Burling Connection

"... We have received valuable advice from Marialuisa Gallozzi, the Covington and Burling associate assigned to take primary responsibility for advising the Foundation . Having Covington and Burling in our corner is a source of great comfort.” Arnold Trebach & Kevin Zeese March 1990 preface/introductory letter , in the 1988-1989 Drug Policy Foundation Biennial Report  April 1, 2013 Federal Triangle Interview #2 with Marialuisa S. Gallozzi, of Covington & Burling – about exploding the fallacy of the ‘war on drugs’ ML- Douglas Andrew, many thanks for illuminating my perspective on the evil nature of the “war on drugs”. You gave forth a more multidimensional approach and understanding of the war on drugs. One revealing it as a far worse problematic waste of money that’s tremendously under-appreciated. The ‘drug war’ really is not the great failure the academia’s have made it out to be. Rather it has been a great success --an on-going mega-boondoggle for pro...
